My life mission is to serve others by helping them transform through intuitive healing modalities such as Energy Reading, Reiki, and Hypnosis. I believe everyone is connected on a soul level and can aspire to their highest self through intuitive healing. My abilities as an Intuitive Healer allow me to pick up information and feelings, and my role is to provide the right spiritual guidance to help individuals find the answers they seek within themselves.

My Story

Although very sensitive & intuitive as a child my Spiritual Journey really began to manifest in my 20s as a student of Yoga, Meditation, and Martial Arts. When I became a mother my bohemian nature took a holistic approach to nutrition and wellness for my family encompassing a mind, body, and soul lifestyle.

I was introduced to Reiki in the 1980s when I contracted a very serious, chronic illness that left me completely bedridden. Although I feel Western medicine has its place, I was searching for other holistic approaches that would complement traditional medicine. It was at this time I was guided on my path to learning Reiki shortly after I met a wonderful Shaman. Through his teachings, I study and became a Reiki practitioner and thereafter a Reiki Master. This modality has had the most profoundly positive impact on my life and health. Later I also went on to become a Karuna Reiki Master.

About 10 years ago I chose to study and provide hypnotherapy as a complement to my other healing modalities. I realized the correlation between mind and body and that the subconscious is a huge key to healing through the power of positive suggestions and deep meditation. It is often effective where nothing else has worked.

Throughout the years my other studies in Intuitive Energies include aura readings, angel and chakra healing, past life regression, and the study of the Akashic Records. Through these studies, I learned the importance of raising your vibration being a key and gift to learning and understanding your Soul's purpose.

My professional background for 27 years was in health care. I'm also a retired Interior Designer and Certified Dance Aerobics Instructor.

Hanshi Barry Lane

I believe in gaining mastery of the body through physical, mental, and spiritual balance, following an ethical code and mental discipline. As a martial artist, I incorporate holistic philosophy and Zen wisdom into my way of life for enlightenment. Through meditation and other holistic modalities, martial artists attain relaxation, energy, and healing on multiple levels. Martial arts involve mental and physical training, character development, and essential life skills, including discipline, focus, and intent. Honor, integrity, and etiquette should be core values, and creating a nurturing learning environment is vital as a teacher.

Barry's Story

My occupation for over 27 years was as an electrition but my true love & dedication has been for for the Martial Arts. It has given me 50+ years of accumulated experience and I hold the rank of 8th Dan soon to be 9th Dan (Hachidan) through the Wado Kai Karate - Jujitsu Organization of Canada & The North American Wado Kai Karate Association. In addition, i hold black belt degrees in other karate styles including jujitsu, judo, shindo, kuboto (weaponry) and kickboxing.

I am the founder of The Highland Wado Kai Karate - Jujitsu – Kick Boxing Organization of Canada. For 12 years I was a Canadian National Coach, Referee & Trainer for the Canadian National Karate & Kick Boxing Teams. The Canadian team is a member of the WKA (world karate & kick boxing association)

In the past few years I have become a Reiki practitioner because I have learned that as a Healing Art, Reiki takes the same energy principles of Japanese Ki (or Chinese Chi) as used in the martial arts but applies it in a non-invasive, effortless manner. Martial artists around the world are embracing Reiki for its ability to develop and enhance Ki/Chi and is now being taught in Martial Art schools.

Though Reiki is primarily a healing art, and evolves around it's ability to heal, there is far more to this ancient gift of the heavens. Everything in the universe at its basic level, is comprised of energy . This is where Reiki works- at the most basic level. As a result, there isn't a habit, issue, problem, disease, injury, illness, goal or aspiration which cannot be helped with Reiki.

I also teach Meditation and Ancient Martial Arts Philosophy. Currently, I am in the process of writing my book.
